I cut my teeth in the finance and banking sector in the UK before taking early retirement.
Prior to moving to the Canary Islands, I trained as a teacher of English for adults (Cambridge CELTA)
I enjoy reading texts with voice rather than reading in silence. My idea is that if everyone reads out in voice everyday, they may be able to delay cognitive decline later in life.
Also if anyone is interested in improving their pronunciation, I’m able to help. I read English texts with chat partners. I have nearly a hundred e-books with levels ranging from B1 to C1.

Antes de mudarme a las Islas Canarias, me formé como profesor de inglés para adultos (Cambridge CELTA).
Disfruto leyendo textos en voz alta en lugar de leer en silencio. Creo que si todos leyéramos en voz alta a diario, podríamos retrasar el deterioro cognitivo.

Hello, I'm Chen Pei Chao. I come from Chaoshan, Guangdong Province in China. I'm really looking forward to getting to know each other, making friends and exploring different cultures here.
I have a passion for sports. Badminton is one of my favorite pastimes. I love the feeling of running around on the court, swinging the racket and hitting the shuttlecock. It not only keeps me fit but also brings me a lot of joy. Swimming is another activity I enjoy. Diving into the water, it's like entering a whole new world, where I can relax and unwind while exercising my whole body.
In addition to sports, I'm also enthusiastic about broadening my horizons. I'm constantly curious about different cultures around the world. Learning about unique traditions, languages, and ways of life from various countries fascinates me. I believe that by interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, we can gain more insights and grow as individuals.
Right now, I'm eager to improve my English skills. I think it's a wonderful opportunity to communicate with you all and learn from each other.
