Hi!

My name is Britt. My education is in social work and I am passionate about increasing social services to, and advocating for, vulnerable populations here in the southern USA. I want to work on devolving fluency in Spanish in order to better serve my community. I took Spanish for most of my life. My godmother would have me watch all my children’s shows in Spanish and required I supplemented my homeschool education with Spanish classes. I then took honors Spanish in high school and four semesters of Spanish in college. I had a decent vocabulary and could read and understand when it was spoken, however I was too self conscious to speak for myself (even in my immersion courses). It’s been over 10 years since I was in a standard Spanish class and I have definitely lost much of my skill. I would love to at least get back to where I was and maybe even improve. I really hate when language barriers affect anyone’s ability to receive the services they need and I would love to help with that.

I enjoy art and crocheting and volunteer work (when I am able). I also love to read and listen to audiobooks whenever possible.
