I am a retired editor, writer and library worker. My mother was born in Berlin in 1926 but came to England in 1937. I am studying German - and am A2.1 level - whatever that means. It's speaking that I find hardest, so would like to find someone encouraging who can cope with my rather basic attempts to make conversation. In return, I'm happy to help someone at pretty much any level, to improve their English. I'm interested in the arts, film, politics, walking etc. I mainly use Zoom for linking up with people remotely, but can be flexible.

Recently returned from a 2 month stay in Granada, Spain! Have fallen in love with Spanish language and culture. The architecture was amazing and I still dream about the Natilas :)

I am a French software engineer, currently in Kiev to help some friends out. I also speak English (I lived in the UK for over ten years) and Spanish (not fluent but I get by). I am looking to learn some Ukrainian while I am the country, mainly because I find the language very nice, and that it could help me get around.
