Hi - I'm Jan L. Native English, living in Spain for 25+ years, mostly in Bilbao and now on my own in Benidorm (early 2026). I've really loved learning Spanish (Language and Culture) and am fairly fluent, but make mistakes with conditional, future, past (all the hard stuff).
I'd like to meet new people, expand my network of friends, and improve my Spanish from someone native in Spain. A coffee would be nice if you are near me.. I can help with English, but I'm not a qualified English teacher. I can help with pronunciation, but can't explain the theory :).

Currently living in the top part of "New Town" in Benidorm.
I come from a background of writing formal corporate British English, as an ex-IT professional. I am looking to learn conversational Spanish, which I believe around this locations here is Valencian/Catalan. I only have a very basic level of spoken Spanish, so you would need a little patience with me, I'm afraid.
