I speak American English, looking for someone quite patient to get better at listening to and speaking French. I've been learning on DuoLingo for 3.5 years and taking lessons here and there, but am still struggling with fluidity (not enough practice) and hearing fast speech, especially without subtitles.

I'm an ethical vegan and work for a non-profit aiming to replace animal testing with more advanced methods. Because of this, I travel to Paris, France for my job 2 or more times per year.
I'm also interested in whole food plant based nutrition and fitness. I do yoga, am a novice runner, and enjoy hiking and calisthenics. I like reading if I can find the time.

I am presently studying Mandarin, and am at a low-intermediate level. I have little chance to practice orally since our foreign student hospitality fellowship has been put on hold because of the virus and travel restrictions.
