おはよう!🙋🏻‍♀️ Hi there! My name is Maggie, originally from Poland, but I've been living in the UK for 18 years now. I started learning Japanese around two years ago, but progress has been a bit slow, mostly because I don’t have enough opportunities to practice speaking. I’m here to improve my conversation skills and to learn more about Japan. I have a wide range of interests, including music, books, martial arts (I practice Shaolin Kung Fu), food, and, of course, all aspects of Japanese culture. My love for Japanese hardcore/punk music is actually what got me started with learning Japanese in the first place. By day, I work as an accountant, but I also run a small record label called Chopstick Records, where I release Japanese hardcore music in the UK. I also write a blog dedicated to the Japanese hardcore scene, where I publish interviews with musicians, album reviews, and anything related to the underground music scene in Japan. I’m passionate about promoting Japanese artists on this side of the world! I enjoy talking to people and hearing their stories, especially if we can do it over a nice cup of coffee or tea. I can help you with both English and Polish, so feel free to reach out if you're looking for language exchange. Let’s chat! 🌸

Hi! My name is Jelena and I’m from Poland. I’m fluent in English, which I mostly learned through the internet by using it in real conversations, watching content, and immersing myself in the language rather than studying it only from textbooks. I also studied Japanese for about a year some time ago, which gave me some insight into learning Asian languages. Now I’d love to learn Mandarin Chinese. My main goal is to learn how to speak and read Chinese, while also getting to know the culture better. In my free time, I enjoy playing computer games, reading books, sewing, and learning new skills. I graduated from first degree music school and I’m especially interested in literature, medicine, biology and physics and like exploring topics in depth.

Hi! I'm a native Polish speaker. I love learning languages (it's a trait I have discovered quite recently). And I would like to exchange language knowledge as well as learn about other cultures. From my interests (to start up conversations more easily): I like music, I myself learn how to play bass guitar and I am often attending karaokes in Gdańsk - so maybe we can meet somewhere there! I like sports, I play and watch football. By day I am a programmer and by night I try to do all the artistic stuff. I even act on stage sometimes in a local pub. I like manga and anime, that's one of the reasons I learn Japanese but I also find the culture captivating. Spanish speaking countries have this advantage that they are warmer than Poland - so it's a benefit to be able to talk in Spanish and travel easily to those countries :D Mucho gusto! よろしく!

Hi there! I'm Natalia and I'm an artist and childworker. I'm moving to Sweden next month and I really need to learn Swedish fast - I'm trying everyday, but I think it's always the best to talk in the new language as much as possible. I can teach you polish, and other than that I know English really well, I was also learning czech language during my studies intensely. I think I can be a good teacher - currently i teach art to the kids and I can be creative with teaching foreign languages too! My hobbies: everything with ecology, art (esp. modern and contemporary) and crafts (currently I'm into ceramics and I was sculpting as well). Other than that - music is my daily drug. Hage a great day! I would like to hear from you, fellow learnears!
