Hi there,
My name is Luis and I am planning on going to Riga at Christmas. I will stay there from the 26th of December to the 2nd of Jaunary.
I would like to meet local people who are willing to practice English. It is my third language and I speak it fluently (I lived in England for a while, long time ago).
My native language is Basque, together with Spanish. I could also help with those two.
The reason I have chosen Latvia is that a few years ago, we had a choir from Riga in town. They performed a beautiful concert, and, as I am a member of the local choir, we had dinner together afterwards. They were very nice people, very friendly, and even though it was brief, we had a great time together.
I am travelling alone, so it would be really nice to meet locals and get to know a bit more of your culture.

I would like to learn Galician for two reasons: on the one hand, I am a university professor of linguistics who is passionate about minority languages; and on the other hand, I would love to be able to speak with my grandmother in her first language.
