Hey, I'm Helen! I was born in Germany and have lived here ever since, but soon I'll be travelling across Europe and many more countries :) I started learning English and French in school and did a 2 week student exchange to France, but didn't speak french in a long time so I'd like to start re-improving it again :) My biggest hobby is music, I'm a singer and do ballroom dance, some of my other interests include animal rights, feminism, arts, plants and baking, but I'm open to talk about anything so feel free to connect :)

Hello everyone, I'm a native German speaker and a language freak. I've been working on my English intensively for several years now. Meanwhile, I think, it has improved a lot and I feel quite confident with it. But I'm still a learner, who makes mistakes. The grammar is still bothering me at times, because I learned most things by doing. Although the pronunciation of new words very often succeeds instinctively, that doesn't always work. I'd love to assist others with German in a conversational way to not get worse again, and to hone my language skills. I'm a huge fan of the Irish accents that are spoken more in the west and south of Ireland and around Dublin, but my own English is, I guess, a wild mix of everything from everywhere. I see English as a lingua franca, as kind of my door to the world, to other cultures. I love playing with language and language(s). I also like poetry, but don't know much of poetry in English yet. I do some sport, I love nature and walk my dog in every weather in nature. Besides that, my interests are manifold (I just lack the time to do everything as intensively as I would love to). Anyway, I think, there will always be a topic to talk about. If I didn't scare you off and you wanna give us a go, then hit me up, Antje

Hi!👋🏼 Aloha kākou!☀️ Salvete!😊 Guten Tag!😁 Salut!😉 I'm Magdalene and I'm a language learning addict with no plans to quit. I speak German and English (3rd language) fluently. I've been learning 'ōlelo Hawai'i (Hawaiian for Hawaiian) for 2 years and Latin (classic) for 1,5 years on Duolingo and although it's a nice start, the app has taught me all it can. I'm still on there for beginner's Swedish and some remedial French, though, and to make sure I don't forget anything while I carry on with books (including grammar books and the first volume of the Harry Potter series in each language). I'm currently reading "Fluent Forever" and I'm quite enjoying it. It's helpful especially for building a good learning habit with flashcards. I'd love to train more actual conversational skills and build up my vocabulary as well as understanding the grammatical intricacies of my languages better, especially in Latin, where I probably have slightly better chances to find someone to chat with - but if anyone would like to converse in Hawaiian, I'd be thrilled! Sadly, I couldn't even add it to my list of languages. I'm a good teacher, too, so if you'd like to learn German or improve your English, I'd be happy to help. ☀️📚☀️ E mālama pono! 👋🏼Take Care! 🍀Macht's gut! 😊 Valete!🙃
