Hi, I'm Ted, I live in London. By day, I'm an economist working as an international tax consultant. I also have a CELTA qualification, and I am currently teaching English to Ukrainians on a voluntary basis. I am studying Mandarin (finishing HSK1); in the past I've studied French, Russian and Japanese, but I'm focused on Mandarin now. I live with my wife and our two dogs in North London; we have two grown children. I support Arsenal Football Club. I'm looking for someone with whom I can practice Mandarin while they can practice English.

Hi there, I joined this group to have some socialising time. I studied and worked in the UK for 17 years and I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and learning more about them. I speak several languages, but some of these are getting rusty. These are German and Korean.
Furthermore, I would like to learn few Chinese words as I like watching Chinese movies and Chinese language sounds interesting. So if you like to have chat here and there or need a mate to go to places etc. I am happy to join you and meet up.

I am so excited to be here! Learning English is a brilliant new adventure for me, and I am loving every step of the journey.
I am originally from Hong Kong, where my native language is Cantonese—a language full of energy and culture. I recently moved to the UK, where I am so glad to continue my career in finance (I did the similar role backed in Hong Kong, so it has been absolutely fascinating to see how the industry works from both sides of the world!).
When I am not working, I like watching football, and nothing makes me happier than heading for a few pints and a good match.
