PolaccoI am a freelance teacher, drama examiner and writer who loves learning languages. I studied and worked as an actor based in London and performed around the world before studying English Literature at University. I love gardening and walking and keep fit by cycling and doing Yoga. I like cooking and am pretty domesticated! My wife is an acupuncturist and Yoga teacher and I have three daughters. In my role as a performance examiner (theatre and public speaking) I travel in the UK and abroad assessing performance and speech exams online and in person. I love words and learning about culture through language. I speak quite fluent German and French, I speak Italian pretty well and am trying to improve my Spanish. I started learning Polish a few years ago, which is coming along nicely and I recently started dabbling in Chinese and Korean just to learn something new and also as I interact with a lot of Chinese students now online.

My name is Pris, nice to meet you!
I'm here to try to learn some new languages, my initial idea was Russian and Chinese, but as they say "knowledge takes no place" so I'm willing to learn as many languages as my mind and time allow me, while I help you with Spanish or English (I can also speak and write some Portuguese).
My goal is to be able to reach at least a minimum knowledge to hold a small conversation. I know it can be a challenge but I am willing to give my best as a learner and as a "teacher" haha.
I have many hobbies but without a doubt the main ones are travelling and getting to know different places and their respective cultures, then I like "everyday things in life" like reading, cooking, doing sports or spending time with family and friends.

I also have a CELTA qualification, and I am currently teaching English to Ukrainians on a voluntary basis. I am studying Mandarin (finishing HSK1); in the past I've studied French, Russian and Japanese, but I'm focused on Mandarin now. Hey - Not wanting to attend a group meeting of Spanish speakers......but a walk, coffee and a language exchange to assist my Spanish conversation skills would be epic ! I have a basic understanding and probably at early stages of sentence construction but I need help ! Wanting to learn for the social aspect not business .....find Spanish people most accommodating and friendly and its inspired to learn ! can you help ? Maybe I will progress to the group events I see advertised in the city but 1:1 for now....P.S. why could one not find British English on the drop down box lol
