I am a Korean born in 1999. When I was in university, I became interested in studying English and Japanese, although they were not directly related to my major. During my time in college, I focused mainly on studying English, and now I can communicate without much difficulty.
However, because of that, I did not have much time to study Japanese back then, so these days I am studying Japanese more seriously.
This might just be my prejudice, but I feel that it can be a little harder to make friends with Japanese people compared to people from English-speaking countries. Through this app, I hope to meet good friends and have meaningful exchanges with each other.
I am interested not only in languages but also in literature. Among Japanese writers, I especially like Haruki Murakami, Banana Yoshimoto, and Natsume Sลseki. I hope that someday I will be able to read their works in the original Japanese.
